In this special publication for the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), organized by the United Nations, to be held from March 13–24, in the UN Headquarters in New York, USA, the Legion of Good Will (LGW) will take to the event its recommendations of good practices through the GOOD WILL Women 2017 magazine (available in Spanish, French, English, and Portuguese).
Women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work is the main theme of this edition, which begins with the article by the President of the LGW, José de Paiva Netto, entitled “Solidarity: Reason and Heart of the Economy,” in which he affirms: “The wisdom of women cannot be ignored, especially when it comes to managing planetary goods.”
Read also the interview with Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former UN Under-Secretary-General, in which he talks about the importance of the culture of peace. Also worthy of mention are the reports on the LGW’s actions in favor of women and girls who live in socially vulnerable situations.
